I’m excited that you came to visit my site! Sit down with a cup of coffee (or tea, whichever floats your boat) and get comfortable. I hope to offer you tips and tricks in the various stages of parenthood while still maintaining your individual role as a person with hopes and dreams and goals to accomplish! Our role as a parent is extremely important. But all too often children are looked down on as a burden and the end of our dreams, but I am determined that this is not so.
I started a new, intense, and highly stressful job in January 2018 and then became a single mother 5.5 months later. That was only 6 months after graduating college and only three weeks before my college loans became due. Despite the cost of birthing a child and all of the necessities which babies require (i.e. diapers, clothes, wipes, pediatrician visits), I have successfully paid off one student loan and paid off my car before my baby turned 9 months. My journey to financial freedom is not yet complete, by any stretch of the imagination, it was certainly set back by an emergency room visit for croup, but I’m excited to say I have a good start. The hiccups here and there are only minor speed bumps (it’s all about mindset!)

Besides budgeting, I hope to address meal planning, cooking, time management, holiday events, and traveling with a baby/child in tow over the course of my parenting journey here. I also will discuss the journey of establishing paternity, but more specifically when the father is deceased. In addition, I am a full time working mother with aspirations for a career in law enforcement, have plans to buy land, build a house, publish a book, and keep myself in good physical shape. This blog is all part of my journey.
2018 was a crazy year for me and I’m excited to build on the growth that I saw through all of the ups and downs that came with it. That being said, a longer, more in depth post about where I’ve come from can be found here.
